I am home from college, finally done with a very busy and hard semester! And now I am looking at all the holiday activities. It's a great time of year. I really do not want to get into a discussion about saying CHRISTmas or not.(I wonder if my post title weirded anyone out. lol. Maybe I should of titled it "Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Years") I am in favor of saying Christmas, but I did learn a little thing in the last month. When people are saying "Xmas" they are still saying "Christmas" if they know it or not. "X" is a abbreviation of "Christ". The problem I do have with saying Merry Xmas is that hardly anyone really knows what that means and so the secular world uses it because they think they really are getting rid of saying "Christ". I am not some kind of guy that says if you say xmas you are a terrible person. I believe that since I cannot tell the whole world what "X" stands for then I might as well speak their language and say "Christmas" so they know what I stand for.

I am so glad I'm on break; I am really enjoying my bed, getting caught up on rest, homemade food, and being back in the neighborhood. Of course, I have not gotten all my Christmas shopping done and I'm not terribly worried... maybe I should be a little more. :)
I thank God that He gave his only begotten son!

Being a Junior is busier than I thought! Sure, I knew it would be harder and busier, but I never personally knew what that was like... and life just gets busier??? I need encouragement!! lol

It's been going pretty good. I just finished taking 4 tests in 3 days and I'm so glad I got through that. I do know that I aced one of them!

Back to this silly life I'm in!

Yes, it is that time. I am headed back to college. This will be my third year at God's Bible School and College. It seems people that know I am headed back are asking "Are you excited to get back to school?" and I am not saying no to the question. I miss classmates, getting out on my own a little, having a change of scenery, being around people that are trying to follow God and get an education, and sometimes I even miss the busy schedule. I don't believe I miss the cafeteria food or the late nights though.

I hope and pray that these next several months are promising, helping me become the person I am made to be and to grow closer to the Creater that made me.

I was lucky to go to Appalachian Youth Camp(ayc) for my last year as a camper from the 18th to 22nd of July. I had a really nice time... but it was like 100 degrees everyday lol

My sister and bro-in-law had there second child: George Allen Ordel IV. He was born Monday, 6-20-11, weighing in at 6 pounds and was 18 inches long. The little guy is the first grandson for the Ordels and for our family as well... its all fun until someone has to change the diaper lol

Yes, I was knocked on the head... and No! that is not why I act like I do :)
I wish I could tell you some great story where I rescued a poor puppy or I was sticking up for my girlfriend, but it really is a simple story.
For part time, I have been helping build a house. My brother Josh and I were handing up ply wood to a guy on the roof trusses. (I will add that we were warned to be careful) So as we handed one up, I saw it reached and rest on a 2x4 and Josh and I both figured that the guy had a grip on it so we let go. The problem is that it slipped from the guys hands. I looked away and a second later the ply board hit my face! I knelt down a second to catch myself and started wiping blood away from my face. I tried to stop the bleeding on the top of my nose with my shirt, got a couple band-aids and finished the days work :)

I didn't hear any wedding bells!

So I have been... reprimanded that I need to update my blog more. Well the word update sounds to casual... I need to post on my blog more. lol.
I guess the biggest and bestest thing that has happened in a while is the event of my brother Sam's wedding to Melissa Phelps(McConkey). Another great part of this event is that Ashlee got to come down and spend time with me during the festive activities.
On Thursday(June 9th), Josh, Mom and I loaded up and hit the road. We meet up with Ashlee's family in Findlay a couple hours later and headed to Cincinnati. We spent the night at my sister's.
On Friday(June 10), we got up and headed to Kentucky. We checked into the hotel, picks up our suits, and helped a little at the church. We then got ready and came back to the church for the dress rehearsal. After the rehearsal, we all went out to eat at Ryan's buffet. Yum! For the guy's night before the wedding we went to the junk yard and played air soft. Needless to say that I got a nice mark on my forehead which I applied ice to so that it wouldn't look too bad for the wedding. Of course, I will say that I was up till 3 oclock playing video games.
Saturday June 11, I should of slept in more, but I was ready to start the occasion. I woke up slowly with a cup of coffee in hand. The next couple hours were spent getting ready for the wedding. We had to be at the church early for pictures. I am glad to say that most of the picture taking wasn't that dreadful... until after the wedding. lol.
The wedding was wonderful and the reception was really splendid as well!
After the church was cleaned up we all piled in and headed back to Cinci.
Sunday June 12, we went to church at ICON(Immanuel Church of the Nazarene) in the morning and evening with a relaxing, sleeping afternoon. The GBS quartet was singing for the evening service and it was nice to the some buds.
Monday June 13, I got up and Ashlee and I went out to IHOP. We then hung around till Bri took her nap and hit the road again, this time to home. After we were unpacked and settled in, Ashlee and I went and saw Rio( an animiated movie about this bird that is almost extinct) and ate more popcorn than I bargained for.
Tues June 14, I showed Ashlee Heini's Cheese and the Wilderness Center. The fam picked up Chinese and then we had to go meet Ashlee's fam for her to go back home :(
The 14th is the anniversary that Ashlee and I made it official
It has been a great last several days. Spending time with friends and family, seeing a cute couple get married, gaining another sister, spending time with my beautiful girlfriend, spending time with my niece, etc

Summer has started

First off, let me say that I am grateful for summer breaks! I have put in my sophomore time, waiting for some final grades and ready to enjoy summer 2011.

I, of course, can not ignore another big thing that is new for me :) :) :)
I am dating the wonderful and beautiful Ashlee Elliott!

Thirdly, I am starting off my summer spending a few days with some family. It is fun... maybe besides the fact that I don't want my niece clinging on to me for the moment sense I got sun burnt!

Well hopefully you know that my blog title is a joke. lol. But we did have VIP Day here on GBSC campus this weekend. It seemed to go quite well. I got to be a tour guide and help with the banquet and it made me happy. The new renovated commons area is open now with computers, couch and coffee. :)
This coming week is finals.. ready to study and pray hard.

I think its pretty bad when you probably need a reminder that you have a blog. I mean, facebook never gets ignored, but I connect with more with people through that. Blogs are the back roads of the internet life that get less traveled on... at least in my life. Ha.
I don't even remember right now why I remember I had a blog and that it probably needed updated. Fail! lol.
Life is good. Can't complain. There was highschool tournaments on campus the last couple days, but I will remain positive and say... most of the guests are gone now. lol. High school just seems so shallow to me now.

I wish I had more photos to upload, but right now its more of... just enjoy life. Posing for a photo doesn't seem important instead of just enjoying being young while I can.

Babysitting

I got to babysit my niece, Briana Ordel, all by myself. For anyone wondering, she behaved quite well. I even changed a diaper for the first time in my life. Bri loves to dance, sing, call for Mommy and Daddy, sit in her new rocking chair, press buttons over and over again on her toys, want to type on our laptops, even watch movies on occasion. Right now, her speech is just starting. Some of it is a mumble, but you can pick out words like "Sit", "mommy", "daddy", "popeye"(the dog) "get"(its what her mom says to the dog when he misbehaves), "thank you", "cookie", "tree"(talking about the christmas tree), and "see"( when she points and looks at something). Its been fun!

I broke open a fortune cookie today. You want to guess what it said? It said, "A lifetime of happiness lies ahead of you". Then I thought what if you are not in my future. This really wouldn't make much sense to others, but this one really struck me deep. You were not mentioned in my "lifetime of happiness". If your name is absent, then that clarifies your absence and your absence means my deficiency. I've pictured you in my distant future for so long now. Now I am not so sure what I should see when I imagine anything from here to eternity. It is indubitably hard to think of my happiness without you. Is there any way to change what that insignificant, yet so significant little slip of paper has printed on it? The more thought I put into it the larger my anxiety intensifies, but then I think who puts much hope or stock into fortune cookies anyways.

Imagine a group of young people meeting in big room, chatting with each other for a few minutes then go to different stairwells. They are getting all getting a little anxious and nervous, waiting. Waiting for the cue to walk on stage. Let's not mention that they are all dressed up as Biblical characters( "in bedsheets"). Yes, its that time of year...
Tonight at God's Bible School and College we are starting our weekend of performances of our school's Christmas Drama. This year it is called "Were It Not for Grace" after Larnelle Harris' song with the same title(which is sung in our program). I think we as a school are really anticipating a good weekend and proclaiming the good new of God's grace!

I read this the other day and was reminded that no matter where I am in life, God is near. It is never just up to us, he supplies strength to get through anything. Of course, we never can totally rely on our strength and we can never expect God to do everything without us doing our part. We can have a smile on our heart knowing that if we our for a good cause and act on that belief, we will have good consequences. (...all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28)
With college I may have "trials" to go through, but I know its for the best!

I lay out on my front drive and gaze at the open sky. There are so many bright dots of wonder that I love to see. Now I am just waiting for some to fly by. And I wonder what it would be like if you were here with me. There is an endless count of stars that I can't even begin to imagine. I really just want one so I can make a wish. It would send a surge through me that is beyond adrenaline. If the shooting star came true it would be more than anything I could even think to accomplish. Yes, I am a sophomore in college. I can hardly believe it myself.
I am here for the freshman/ new student orientation because I work for the school. It's been alright. Worked the first day I got here. Trying to mix and mingle with the new faces, the homesick faces, the lost looking faces, the faces that look like they should of gotten more sleep last night. lol. It's not an easy job, but someone has to do it. I'm sure I won't know half there names for a while,
but I got the students that have not arrived yet.
I'm just so happy to see all old friends and cannot wait to see the rest!
Now I am off to enjoy some chocolate muffins :)

I'm Back

It's been what.. 2 weeks since I posted something? Life has been pretty good! Went to AYC, won the AA Bible Bowl and had lots of fun. Then the week after went to the Bible Holiness camp. My team there (the panthers) didn't win, but we were behind by only one game... it was very close. Now this week is spent at home spent thinking and slowly getting motivated to get ready for school again!

There may be controversy about what music "Christians" can listen to. I say "fine, there will always be controversy." I try not to get in disagreements like that.
There is one artist that I don't listen to very much, but what I do hear, I really believe. It's a man that goes by the name Lecrae. One song of his that is my fav is called Don't Waste Your Life. Simple title, simple message. I just thought I'd share it...

I am home from vacation. We went to Tennessee and had fun! We went to Cincinnati on the 4th to celebrate the holiday with my family down there and watch the fireworks :)
We then went to TN( the townsend, pigeon forge, and gatlinburg area). We spent our time shopping, visiting the Titanic Museum, the Forbidden Cavern, site seeing, and hanging with the fam having fun.

Cage of Solitude

I'm dreading the night because I'm all alone again. The strength to survive this one is not here. Sleep is my best and worst enemy because I want to escape from reality, but I know it won't happen. The nightmares will come and keep me here locked in my cage of solitude. I yearn for a change of scenery from these four lonely walls.The walls surrounding me would serve a better purpose if only they would fall down. Feeling sorry for myself has grown old and made my inside numb. Chills sink through my body as my heart and mind go colder and colder. The seclusion is like a winter night as the cold rips right through your coat and freezes your bones. The noise might seem more like music if there was company to share the sounds with. Least I know I would be able to hear if my name is called. Peace of mind and confidence is fleeting the more I’m here. Loneliness wouldn't be so bad if I couldn't see the free ones outside. I am cracking up at Justin Bieber's, the newest pop teen artist, new song "Never say never". Very good message of perseverance, but it's still just kids singing right? Idk. The song features Jaden Smith, son of Will Smith. Also, Jaden is the star with Jackie Chan on the new The Karate Kid movie that comes out in theaters June 11. From the movie trailer it seems like it will be a sweet fam movie of victory and perseverance.

I just came back from the local parade in a lil village/town down the road. It was a nice change this year to not be in the parade because I used to be each year for the color guard with the boy scouts. Plus, I got a hand full of candy, but alas I cannot( should not) eat it right now because I am seeing the dentist tomorrow. lol.

Prophet

I just finished my Christmas present, a book titled "Prophet" by Frank E. Peretti. :)

With my busyness at college, I couldn't make enough time to get through it while in Cincinnati. Any time that was a good time to sit down and pleasure read, I would grab the Prophet. But I have now finished it and conquered! I really did enjoy it too. I did think that Peretti might get deeper into the plot somehow, but I didn't stand a chance with guessing how the whole story would come together in the end. It did have a "happy ending" which I sort of thought it would have in the back of my head. I think the book's story can open our eyes to that God is still working in the present world( which means the devil is fighting back too) Plus, we all know that sin and crime doesn't pay, so our "sins will find us out".

( I did have a fav quote out of the book but I cannot find it at this present time)

In the news today, I am itching from those bites I got last night by those blood suckers( not vampires :P ) Those lil buggers just love my blood!!! I went to the youth gathering last nite and yes I did have bug spray on, but they just went through my clothes. Wicked, wicked, wicked creatures. (and don't give any such speech about mosquitoes being good for the environment, they could be good in a more friendly, less itchy way, right?)

Well, tomorrow will be a full week that I've been home for summer break. Besides the school work, I have slowly grown to love Cinci and now I miss it. I'm a "country boy", but I think I like certain urban and rural areas.
I have done a bit around here though. Been going to church("finding some religion",it's a joke because I work so much down at school), went to the Cherry Blossom Festival, been making calls for a job, been working around the house with weed eating, trimming, and sweeping.
I've been wanting to read my books and find new ones and what not, but I haven't made or found time for them yet. I miss 'em.

We cross the bridge one more time, but this time it is without you. I'm convinced I believe in the mystery that time flies. I'd give almost anything to get one more chance to look in your eyes. I just keep reminding myself that the time will come again when we can create memories of new. The way you kept turning, the way you were yearning, is playing over and over in my mind. All the fun times we spent together are on rewind. Your voice was always a pleasant surprise. Like the caffeine to my coffee to help me rise. Now, I'm alone and fighting sleeping, doing anything to stay awake. But when I do wonder off to the dream world, I imagine you will be there. Plus since you're there, why should I care? And when I'm there, it won't matter if it's real or fake. In your own words, "It was the perfect ending", and I couldn't agree more. You've been the best thing that has happened to me this year, touching my inmost core. In an unusual way, I've been taught to never say "Never". I wonder what it will be like to truly miss you. I go back and sit where you did. The car has never felt so empty. I sit in silence like never before. Terminals will not be the same in my mind like they used to be. You gave a quick hug and headed for the lines. The gates took you out of sight. Going to a place I know nothing about. I'm sure it's a mix of dark and bright. You seem to wondrously make the sun shine my world. The sun has followed you home and left me here with the clouds hanging their heads at me. How long will I be left here shaking on the side of everything? This recession has taken its toll on me and I wonder what it would be like if you were here with me. I listen to your favorite music. This upheaval has given me a complex. My willingness to wait has been stretched. I somehow figured that you would be next. The sun comes out and shines on my face. Basking and Busken

I am basking in the sun light with my Busken :) I'm sitting in the window seal in the warmth and seeing the lives float by doing there thing.
This morning was the morning of the annual Donut Run here at GBS. Of course we got up and went before the sun was peeping it's face out. Children's recital

I had to just get on here and mention the Academy's recital tonight. I had computer apps. class so I didn't get to go to the whole thing(plus other reasons), but the time I was there for I thoroughly enjoyed. :) It reminded me so much of my childhood(which wasn't that long ago) when I was on a platform like that, shaking my little knees off, scared stiff and barely getting my fingers to move to play the piece. I was laughing at the quirks of the kids and thinking of how goofy I must of looked like at their age. The innocence of a kid is awesome.

We, here at GBS, have what we affectionately call D-groups. The name was shortened from Disciple Groups cuz its cool and sounds more attractive. My freshman year leaders were Adam and Valerie Profitt. I love these people to death, very awesome people I must say. Well, today was the last D-group meeting of the semester and school year. It's a sad day. It was xtremely cool today cuz we went to the Riverfront and played volleyball and had a cook out. And I will always remember my freshman year when Adam said, "If we had to choose between Mcdonalds or Taco Bell, I believe Jesus would choose Taco Bell". :)

Not sure if it's all in my head or if it has captured my heart too. Did I ever have a complete trust? I have seen so many miracles and great wonders that my mind has grown callused to the truth. The mystery has covered me like a flood. I just cannot get past the confusion. So much as happened in such a short time. We warned Him trouble was coming. He had to know it. Why would He walk right into their trap? The tricksters have been planning this for years. You could see the anger and jealousy in their eyes as much as their fears. They retaliate out of rejection. They hated His guts and got Him where they wanted Him. Murdering Him like real murderers aught to be put away. Now it's been two days since they took Him away and I'm hating life. Spring Fever

We think it's all gone. The sun is shining right? It makes no difference. It still comes back. Take this snow away. Let it melt away. I want to see green grass and the colorful flowers. You think spring may just be here when the temperature will fall as if gravity forces it once again. It's a battle inside of mother nature. Some try to escape the whole situation by visiting the south. Who cares what the ground hog or the calendar says about it. Its got a mind of its own. It will dare come back even after the fresh flowers are in bloom. It sends a vive through the population. Gets them talking about the weather yet once again. Just leave it alone. Its just trying to trick you. I wish I could say its time to shed those winter coats; the season for rain coats is here. I want the time for people running in puddles looking like little duckies to be here. I still long to feel the rain and sun on my face again. I want to embrace the smell of the early dew. It has been time for a break. Time for a new schedule and a break in life. Maybe a break in some relationships. When the situation is hot and thick that's when I want to break away. There is nothing like sitting in my room, on the floor, going through tons of old notes, keep sakes, and trinkets. Cleaning the monsters out from under my bed. Just trying to take another step on this sidewalk we call life. I have been growing close to change. I've grown to except, adapt, and move along. There are things you will just have to break away from in order to live. This is more than just coping with the old, this is living the new. Jump in and learn to swim. I am back in Cincy. It's a wonderful day, traveled here and enjoyed the spring like weather while I could. I'm getting ready to study for a test tomorrow(classes start tomorrow). Break was good! It was a break. I feel like I'm pretty rested up. I've got pretty much all my bags unpacked and I guess I'm about ready for classes to start back up. Oh, the life of a college student. :)

Glow Stick Adventure

Today, I was cleaning out some things in my room and I randomly found a glow stick. Very random I must say. I was like whatever, so I went and broke the seal to make it glow. Then, of course, it occurred to me that is was in the middle of the day and a pink glow stick is just not that cool when the sun is shining. So I just threw it away with all the other stuff. Later on today, I was just going about my normal day business when mom was pointing and looking at the trash asking if I had seen the glowing trash. I then informed her that it was I that made the trash glow with the glow stick. :)

The weekend here at home on LWB has been fine. :) I've finally finished reading my OT Lit. book. I may actually slowly get some homework done while I'm home. Of course, I've spent most of my time with my precious computer. ( I do get out of the house. lol) And I have been eating chocolate cake and my ultimate favorite strawberry pretzel desert, plus other good food.
Sunday was a blessed day. My good friend, K. Flynn, spoke a great message from James 3, II Samuel 13 and I Kings 3. I even road the church bus and helped the lead singing for the children. Plus, I went to my cousin's and had a good time, eating yummy yummy food. :)

Life is going pretty good, here in the frozen city of Cincinnati. Yes, it is bitter cold, but can I say my heart is still warm with His love? :)
Thursday, I got to go to the Cincinnati Symphony for the first time. It was wonderful. They played Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C Major, Opus 48 and Symphony Number 4 in F Minor, Opus 36.
Friday, was cool. Had classes, worked and then went to Late Night where we play volleyball and basketball till ungodly hours of like 1 or 2.
Saturday, was spent mostly on going coffee shop hopping. lol. The college needs ideas and plans for the coffee shop they are trying to put on campus. Kandice, Andre'a, T.J. and I found this great place called Taza. What was even better was that MTV had a small camera crew there shooting for "Taking the Stage". :) I then slept a couple hours before I worked all night.
Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday, after I got off work. I slept for about an hour. I then went to EWC and heard Faith Trio sing. We then ate lunch there. I then went to Vine St. Kids Klub. I came to school and slept till 7. Then the big news is that the Colts lost. What a shame, right? * Enter Scaracm* lol. I really had no preference in the teams and just wanted to get under some skin :)

1. When his 38 caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim during a hold-up in Long Beach , California would-be robber James Elliot did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel and tried the trigger again. This time it worked.

2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat cutting machine and after a little shopping around, submitted a claim to his insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a finger. The chef's claim was approved.

3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a woman had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her.

4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies. The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.

5.. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from serious head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he received the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to see how close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit.

6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he got from the drawer... $15. [If someone points a gun at you and gives you money, is a crime committed?]

7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.

8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, "Yes, officer, that's her... That's the lady I stole the purse from."

9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti , Michigan at 5 A.M., flashed a gun, and demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated, walked away.

10. When a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline, but he plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges saying that it was the best laugh he'd ever had.

Yes, so the "first week" of school is over pretty much and its going good. I have not done a lot, but it's been nice that way. I worked a couple days and trying to adjust back into this environment. The real schedule for classes is not going to be consistent until after revival this week.
Revival. Exactly what anyone needs. The students and faculty are really looking to it. The first service begins in 45 minutes and it's going to be awesome. God knows America, and the world for the matter, needs a great awakening. I believe this week shall be grand.

Yes, I am back at college. I'm sitting in the library reading for O.T. Lit. and listening to my blog music(sorta kicking myself for not using reading time on Christmas break, but w/e) Today was the first day of classes... sorta. The first day of classes are not quite normal, it's just going over the silly... yes the silly :) The syllabus(silly) is all about the requirements for the class, the class schedule, due dates, etc. Real exciting!!! HAHA( can you hear sarcasm poking out?)

Well, I shall get back to the school work, let the boringness begin! Lol.

I'm striving to grow stronger. There is nothing I want more than to please my God and become a better me for Him. Some times seem down and look so dim. Those are the times when I need to look straight up to my Maker. "Through You, I can run, dance, live and overcome this world that tries to blind me. I will drown if You don't help me stay afloat." I'm in a whole new boat. As I sit on Young Street, I want to grow older. I realize this discipline can make me more mature. This month has driven me to my knees more than my whole life. The strange part is other parts of my life have been filled with more strife. I will start this climb with determination. I will do anything so I won't hit the bottom. Right now, it feels like this will take forever. "Lord, please give me the patience to get through this."

Yes. It is vacation. Christmas Break!
I'm here at my sister's. I've babysitted my niece, helped cook meals, watched movies, gone to the store, etc. Its not exactly glamorious, but its exactly what I like. Today we helped move some of my other sister's things. There are still a few things to get, but the major things are packed or moved.
Now as soon as we are ready me and my lil' bro are going to see our other bro that's recovering from surgery :) The surgery was complete and my brother has shown good progress. Thank God.

Christmas is a week away. HOOOLLLAAHHH!!!

I cannot say that I am completely done with my first semester of college, but it is close. Close as in tomorrow. I just got out of English Comp I and I am excited. It was a very interesting class and over semester at that.
I am sitting here in the school library listening to Paramore- Ignorance. :)
And of course I am on Facebook too, just fulfilling the addiction. HA! I hope next semester is as fulfilling as this one was. But I don't care so much about next semester as I do about Christmas break. YES! That's what I'm talking bout... a nice break!!!

Winter is the End

There is so much warm love inside fighting the cold outside. I sit at my window to see and hear carolers singing their hope of the holiday. Enjoying a crackling fire and some hot cocoa. Someone says "Grab your gloves and hat. Dress from head to toe like an Eskimo. Join me on a sleigh ride." Almost all is gone. There are skaters and fisherman left on the frozen pond. I shiver from old man winter. Mixed emotions are spread between celebrating the best holiday's of the year compared to the deathly chill. The snowflakes are what makes this season so beautiful compared to the green grass and colorful flowers of other seasons. It doesn't matter if it's the form of new life or the passing of it, I can see the hand that created it. God, You created this cycle, teaching me You are there through it all. It doesn't matter where I am in life, You direct and guide it. Jesus take my seasons. Don't let me go through a new set of seasons without seeing Your power and having You in it.

A miracle of Love

I just got done signing in and looking over the pamphlet from the drama performed friday, saturday and tonight.God really helped everyone. I love the feeling of being behind stage and actually knowing what's going on or supposed to be going on. :) I really enjoyed being in it, but I am even more glad that it is over. It means that finals are ahead then we shall be blessed with Christmas break. YES!!! Finals will be interesting, but I know God will help me and that's the way to get through anything.

Well, right now the dress rehearsal we had tonight is on my mind. With the pizza and ice cream we had afterward provided by the student council. The drama team and choir still needs practice and prayer, but what I've seen from other years here, it always turns out nice. The English and Music class assignments are both on my mind too. Some things are becoming easier and others are becoming harder. These two last weeks of this semester are quite tough. I do seem to be staying afloat and it will only stay that way with God. I think I shall go depart for my bed so it will be easier on my eyelids in class tomorrow. They seem to get quite heavy at times.

*I crack up laughing to myself cause I just heard two guys talking in the hall way about their girlfriends. It seems to them that females, especially their g/fs, always seem to have the last word.*

Yes, I am home. I am here at the computer desk blogging at home. It's awesome! ( shooing cat's swaying tail out of face)I'm here with my cat enjoying a lazy saturday night. Plus, I'm listening to Christmas music. I just thought it would be wonderful to blog at home for once in months. Probably won't do this again till Christmas break( the cat is ready to pounce on my sister who is sorting papers.) I've been to my grandparents to celebrate Thankgiving, gone to the movies to see New Moon, put up the Christmas tree, and watched a few movies at home, and gone to Guitar Center. *Update complete* lol. ( my cat is staring at me like "Come on Jon, let's go do something fun" lol

I'm reading a book by Frank Peretti called The Oath and I'm loving it. If I have time over Thanksgiving break I want to finish it. I only read it in my spare time, which isn't much. There was a quote that I just made my day the other day when I was reading it.
